Make New Friends in the Great Outdoors

At our retreats and summer camps, making new friends and learning new skills (rock climbing, kayaking and building fires, anyone?) are everyday experiences. Transcending Adolescence provides a safe and welcoming environment where trans teens like you can connect on a deeper level by sharing your unique journeys and experiences. Campers often find that they can bond over their shared experiences and challenges, creating an immediate sense of understanding and empathy — two things that can make a world of difference!

Build Confidence & Connections

We all deserve to be ourselves — especially in the great outdoors! That’s why all year round, we host Resilience Retreats that are specially designed to support transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse youth ages 13-17 in building their confidence, strength and resilience. Working in small groups, they’ll learn valuable life skills from outdoor recreation experts, experienced camp counselors and others who are breaking through gender norms.
